For any UK or EU citizen wishing to settle and work in Alderney, an Employment Permit system operates. 

Anyone seeking gainful employment requires a work permit, although certain categories of employment are exempt.

Citizens of a non-EU country must apply to the Immigration and Nationality Department, Guernsey for a working visa and should check with their nearest British Consulate.
