Press Release - Technical Services Officer appointment

The States of Alderney is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Aaron Bray as Technical Services Officer. Mr Bray will be responsible for day to day on site management of engineering and technical activities for both major capital and revenue projects relating to the islands infrastructure. He will also provide technical advice and support to the States Works Department, States Water Board and the Harbour. Mr Bray starts his new appointment with the States on Monday 11th January 2016.

Mr Bray is a versatile water engineer with 20 years' experience in a range of engineering skills, working from 'tools' up to becoming a Managing Director of a southwest based service engineering business, he has a range of experience in a variety of areas such as team management, the planning and implementation of complex tasks in adverse locations, working to budgets, problem solving and delivery of service. He is also no stranger to working on small islands having previously worked on Lundy, the Isles of Scilly and also with the States of Guernsey and Jersey assisting with civil engineering, water and waste water projects.

Mr Bray has played rugby for Cornwall, and also served 10 years on Search and Rescue with the HM Coastguard and RNLI. He is married with three young children.
