Education on Alderney is a 'transferred service' provided and regulated by the States of Guernsey.

  • Early Years & Pre-school

    • St Anne's Playgroup
      St Anne's Playgroup offers pre-school education for 2 - 4 year olds located, at the Island Hall.

    • St Anne's School
      St Anne's School offers a pre school service for the year before a child attends school (Reception year).

      Both establishments work to the Early Years Quality Standards Framework (EYQSF), 2018.

  • Pre-school Education Fund (PSEF)

    • The year before children go to school (Reception year) they are entitled to free, quality, pre-school provision for up to 15 hours per week, 38 weeks a year (term time only), supported by the States of Guernsey.

  • St Anne's School

    • Alderney's only all-through 4 to 16 (with pre-school) school overlooks the beautiful Braye Beach. It is equipped with excellent facilities, including the latest computer communications technology.

  • Higher Education

    • Further education for over 16s is provided in Guernsey including A levels, tertiary and vocational education.

  • Adult Learning

    • The Alderney Computing Flexi Centre based at St Anne's School offers a wide variety of computer based courses from spreadsheets, databases, desktop publishing and word processing to website design.
