2002 - Five Pound Coin Diana Princess of Wales

This issue is to celebrate the charity work that The Diana Princess of Wales Memorial Fund has continued to carry out since her untimely death in 1997. The Fund will benefit from royalties on coin sales. Obverse: The obverse of the coins shows Raphael Maklouf's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Reverse: The £5 crown is available in Cupro-nickel and Silver and features Diana receiving a bouquet of flowers from a little girl as designed by the Royal Mint engraving studio.
