2002 - Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II - Golden Jubilee


On 6th February 1952, the 25-year old Princess Elizabeth unexpectedly became Queen, yet at this relatively young age she was well prepared for the serious task ahead.

Obverse Raphael Maklouf's portrait of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Reverse: Designed by Marcel Canioni, this coin features the hilt of the Sword of State with the Royal Standard, representing the Queen` position of head of State.

The second coin in this series, designed by Robert Lowe, features police and guardsmen representing the celebratory procession down the Mall.
