Item l Chief Pleas
The following persons, whose names are included on the Register of Voters and who had given due notice, addressed the States on matters of public interest: - Mr J Postlethwaite on the deterioration of the fabric of St Anne"s Church.
Mr C Murfitt on taxation and catalogues, the disposal of rubble and the upkeep of The Vicarage and St Anne"s Church.
Item ll The Alderney Road Traffic and Public Highways (Amendment) Regulations, 2007
The States resolved to note the Regulations laid before them and that they would be asked to annul or not annul them, in accordance with the Law, at the next meeting of the States on October 24th.
Item lll The States Water Supply (Rates of Charge) (Alderney) Ordinance, 2007
The States resolved to approve of:- 1. The States Water Supply (Rates of Charge)(Alderney) Ordinance 2007, and
2. The transfer of a Capital grant not exceeding £600,000 from funds held by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission to the Alderney Water Board.

Item lV The Alderney eGambling (Amendment) Regulations, 2007
The States resolved not to annul "The Alderney eGambling (Amendment) (Regulations), 2007". (Proposed by Mr Willmott and seconded by Mr Cox.)

Item V The Iran (Restrictive Measures) (Alderney) Ordinance, 2007
The States resolved to approve of "The Iran (Restrictive Measures) (Alderney) Ordinance, 2007". (Proposed by Mr Willmott and seconded by Mr Tugby.)
(Approved Unanimously.)
Item Vl The North Korea (Restrictive Measures) (Alderney) Ordinance, 2007
The States is asked to approve of "The North Korea (Restrictive Measures) (Alderney) Ordinance, 2007". (Proposed by Mr Willmott and seconded by Mr Cox.)

Item Vll Questions and Reports
The Vice President advised that following an unsuccessful by-election in June, it had been noted that the Government of Alderney Law gave no provision for holding a second by-election; therefore this matter would be laid before the next meeting of the Policy and Finance Committee for further consideration. The Vice President expressed his thanks, on behalf of the States, to the organising team for an extremely successful Alderney Week.
The Vice President reported on the following events:-
The retirement of Mr John "Midget" Dupont as Warden of Burhou, and that a Vin de Honneur had been held to thank him, formally by the States, for all that he has done to maintain Burhou.
The retirement of Mr Mark Wordsworth from the board of ACRE and expressed the gratitude of the States for the enormous contributions he had made as a Member and Chairman.
The appointment of Mr Robert Blondin as Jurat, who replaces Mr George Scott, with many thanks to Mr Scott for all his hard work through the years as a Jurat and as Vice Chairman of the Court.
The Vice President thanked last years Year 8 Students and Mr Phillips for making the copper weather vane for the Old Church Tower. The weather vane was now in place and it has on it the names of those students who helped to make it.
