PUBLIC NOTICE

Vallee Sewer - Road Closures

The following road closure is planned to enable work to progress on the replacement sewer:-

La Vallee Road from the junction of Route de Picaterre to the junction of Rue Marcheurs (Stoney Lane).

Approximately from 15 February until 15 May 2008 during sewer laying.

The point of road closure will commence at the bottom of La Vallee and will progressively move up the hill as the sewer laying progresses.

During the sewer laying operation through traffic along La Vallee will not be possible. Access to properties from either end will be available so far as possible but the road will have a temporary surface following completion of the works and caution should be exercised.

Additional operations of re-excavating and laying electric cable will follow the completion of the sewer laying and will restrict the road width.

Pedestrians should be aware that heavy machinery will be in use and the drivers have limited visibility. They should be extremely cautious when approaching the operating location.
