CONSTRUCTION OF NEW CONNAUGHT CARE HOME.

The States of Alderney invite expressions of interest from suitably qualified contractors to tender for the construction on a green field site of the new 24 bedroom Connaught Care Home. The building will be a timber framed structure, with all services including oil fired under floor heating, solar water heating, and rainwater recycling.

The planned start date is January 2010.

Major consideration will be given to the contractor's provisions for the association with and use of local contractors and labour.

Interested contractors must obtain the outline details and information requirements from the above addresses and submit full details of the qualifications and experience etc. to the States Engineer by 15 May 2009.
